AP Bargeman Retirement

December 8, 2024

After 20+ years of service to DCPS and a total of 30+ in DC government, Greg Bargeman will be retiring from his role as an Assistant Principal at Jackson-Reed later this month.  We wish him well and are thankful for his service.  We are currently reviewing qualified candidates to fill this position and will share updates in future eNews editions.

Winternaitonal Embassy Showcase

Last Thursday, December 5th, Advanced Spanish and Spanish 3 students went to the 11th Winternational Embassy Showcase at the Ronald Reagan International Trade Center.

DCPS EdFest 2024

Senior Adam Stomberg, NAF Director Lorenzo, and AP Minsker represented Jackson-Reed at the Annual EdFest event, which took place on Saturday, December 7th at Eastern High School.   While many schools who participated are interested in recruiting out of bound students, Jackson Reed currently accepts only in-boundary students from our feeder schools, Alice Deal and Oyster-Adams.   Still it was a great opportunity to see future students from our feeder schools and also share with families from across the District all of the great things happening at Jackson-Reed.
