Principal’s Message: October 27, 2024
Greetings Jackson-Reed Faculty, Staff, and Community,
This weekend, we had the pleasure of hosting a building tour with members from the Class of 1974. Leading up to this event, participants shared many memorable stories about their high school experience. They talked about their friendships, the teachers and staff that made a positive difference in their lives, and the many school experiences they had to broaden their mindset. What stood out to me was the strong sense of pride and that each of them shared their high school experience shaped who they are today. We want the Jackson-Reed experience to influence all our students positively, and we’ll work to adjust as needed.
One way we learn where we need to adjust is through survey feedback. This week, our students will take the Panorama survey which helps identify our school's areas of strength and areas of opportunity. The survey results share information such as whether students feel loved, challenged, and prepared at school. This data helps shape how we stay on the path to becoming the model urban high school in the United States. Please encourage our Tigers to complete the survey this week.
