Greetings Jackson-Reed,

I want to start by thanking the members of our custodial staff who came in last week during the inclement weather closures. These essential employees made a positive difference in making sure things were ready to go when everyone returned to the building on Wednesday, which helped our students get back into their learning routines.

This week, we are thrilled to invite you to our Literacy & Numeracy night on Wednesday, January 15th, at 5:30 p.m. This is a time when you and your family can deepen your knowledge of these two areas by receiving student performance data, learning the strategies teachers use in class, and engaging in literacy and numeracy activities—we hope to see you there!

On Thursday, January 16th at 6:00 pm, we will be hosting our January Community Conversation. This meeting will be focused on prospective families, and we’ll be discussing transitioning to high school, our Academies, and enrollment. If you plan to attend, please fill out this form.

Finally, as a reminder, there will be no school for students on Friday, January 17th due to school-based professional development.
