Shanza Qureshi-Mufti and her husband, Babar, are parents to a sophomore at JRHS. Their son, Zayn, attended Deal for middle school and Mann for elementary. Joining the PTSO Board has been a rewarding experience for Shanza. It has helped connect her with the Jackson-Reed community and alleviate some of her high-school parent anxiety!

In her professional life, Shanza manages career programs for international attorneys at Georgetown Law. She also serves on the selection committee for the Critical Languages Scholarship program on behalf of the US Department of State. Shanza is a staunch advocate for global education and for the constructive role international students play academically and professionally in broadening perspectives in the United States. She and her family live in the Van Ness neighborhood.
