The George Washington University’s Stephen Joel Trachtenberg Scholarship program, founded in 1989, provides academically talented D.C. high school seniors with a full, four-year scholarship covering tuition; room and board; and books and fees. Open to DACA and undocumented students
Students must apply to George Washington University via the Common App by Friday, January 5, 2024. The scholarship requires students to be nominated by their school. If you would like to be considered for nomination, fill out the interest form at the link below.

David M. Rubenstein/Economic Club Scholarship

The David M. Rubenstein/Economic Club of Washington, DC Scholarship Program is one of the few large-scale scholarships dedicated exclusively to students graduating from DC public and charter schools. Approximately 50 scholarships of $20,000 are awarded each year to bright, motivated students who exhibit impressive academic achievement.

Washington Wizards and Greater Washington Urban League Essay Contest for High School Seniors
Deadline to submit essay: Thursday, February 1, 2024
For the third consecutive year, the Washington Wizards are partnering with the Greater Washington Urban League to host an essay contest for high school seniors! The contest honors Dr. Edwin Bancroft (E.B.) Henderson, a sports historian, educator, administrator, coach, athlete, and civil rights activist known as the “Grandfather of Black Basketball” and Benjamin Banneker, who is credited as one of the surveyors of the District of Columbia and laying the boundary stones to create the District.
