Principal's Message

FullSizeRender-preview

Greetings Jackson-Reed Community,

I hope this message finds you well and that you had a productive time conferencing with teachers or speaking with our Tigers about their academic and social-emotional well-being.

Last week, we needed to close the building on Friday so that contractors could address necessary work related to the heating and cooling system in the school. We will continue monitoring these systems and resume our regularly scheduled operating hours this week.

Additionally, Mayor Bowser is expected to share the proposed budget for all government agencies with the City Council this week. DCPS is expected to post the FY25 submitted budget worksheets for each school on the DCPS budget website shortly after, which can be located here. The Jackson-Reed submitted budget reflects difficult reduction decisions and these have been communicated to our faculty and staff in early March. We will continue to provide updates and information related to the FY25 budget and thank everyone for their engagement in this process.

Tigers R.O.A.R.,
Sah Brown
Principal

Jackson-Reed Ultimate Frisbee Annual Mulch Sale!

Please support the Jackson-Reed Tigers Ultimate Frisbee team through our annual spring mulch sale! We have two types of mulch and one soil conditioner -- order as much as your yard or garden needs!
