Principal's Message
Greetings Jackson-Reed Community,
I hope this message finds you well. Last week, we celebrated our Winter Athletic teams by conducting a Student Government Association (SGA) pep rally. It was an enjoyable time and good to see grade levels come together to cheer on their classmates. I want to thank the SGA for organizing a successful program, celebrating their peers, and reinforcing our values.
Another way we will celebrate our students and reinforce our values is by reviewing their Term 2 academic performance. As you may know, report cards are available in the Aspen Parent Portal and will be mailed out to our address on file. Having conversations with your child(ren) that include acknowledging areas of strength and areas for growth are great ways to deepen the partnership between home and school. We are all working to help our Tigers become self-reflective learners, and we appreciate the continued support provided by members of our school community.
Wishing you a positive and productive week!
Tigers R.O.A.R.,
Sah Brown

The Arts at Jackson-Reed
A Weekend with Topper Carew Celebrating “The New Thing" was a HUGE success!
NAF students handled, scanned, and organized the historic prints of photographs, some 65 years old. Members of the Jackson-Reed planning committee then worked with parent Britt Oates (a curator) on layout, design, and accompanying text for the exhibit. Students also participated in the panel discussion at Katzen and the Q&A at AFI Silver Theatre.
Youth Art Walk: Feb 15, 5:30 pm at DCA
