Harvard University

  • Current Harvard undergraduate Liv Birnstad will give a presentation about her path to Harvard, campus life, academics, admissions, and financial aid, followed by time for students’ questions.

Otis College of Art and Design: Alyssa C. Fishenden, afishenden@otis.edu

  • Otis College of Art and Design is located in Los Angeles right next to the airport LAX.
  • We are a diverse and accessible and welcoming community. About 1300 students, 338 faculty, 9:1 student to faculty ratio. Over 60% of the student body is of color, 30% are transfer students, about 20% are international.
  • 8 majors – *Animation, Fashion Design, Fine Arts (painting, photography, sculpture/new genres), *Game & Entertainment Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, Product Design & Toy design. (*=stem designated)
  • One of the only colleges globally that offers a 4-year BFA in toy design
  • 96% of students are employed within 6 months of graduating from Otis, 88% are working in art in design fields & 86% said Otis prepared them for the professional world
  • 92% of Otis students receive financial aid. Admitted students receive a merit scholarship based on their GPA and portfolio strength.
