DCCAP Scholarship Check-ins with Lawrence West and Brittani Pollack, DCCAP

Our DCCAP representatives will be at Jackson-Reed on the dates above to help seniors complete their DCCAP scholarship applications.

Trinity Washington University On-Site Admissions Event

WHEN: Wednesday, November 8, 2 pm-3:30 pm

WHERE: College and Career Center

Students who would like to receive admissions decisions during this visit should apply via the application on their website or via the Common App. https://www2.trinitydc.edu/

Information will also be provided about TheDream.US. TheDream.US offers scholarships for highly motivated undocumented students who want to get a college education but are unable to afford the cost. Applications are open to undocumented immigrant students with or without DACA or TPS who came to the U.S. before the age of 16 and before November 1, 2018.

 

Field trip: Apprenticeships Open House in Lanham, MD

WHEN: Friday, November 17

A multi-trade event with earn-while-you-learn construction apprenticeships from around our region. Tours, exhibits, demonstrations, food and drink. Apprenticeships represented: Bricklayers, Plumbers, Ironworkers, Insulators, Electricians, Operating Engineers, Sheet Metal, Steamfitters, Carpenters, Finishing Trades.

The bus will leave Jackson-Reed at 9 am and return at 3 pm.Interested students can come to get the permission slip from Ms. Levenson in the College and Career Center, Room 108A.
