Senior Prom

We have finalized the contract for prom, which will take place on Saturday, June 7 from 7 pm to 11 pm at the Bethesda North Marriott adjacent to the North Bethesda Metro stop and located at 5701 Marinelli Rd.   Our senior SGA leaders and our Hospitality Academy students on the prom committee have already begun plans for decorating and food.  The theme is "Roaring 20s" and ticket sales will begin on Friday, May 2nd during lunch in the atrium.  Tickets are discounted $25 from last year and are $100.  Please contact Mr. Minsker if you have any questions.

Community Service Reminder & Updates

Seniors need 75 hours of community service to receive their diploma on Saturday, June 14th at the graduation ceremony at CareFirst Arena at 5 pm.   Many seniors are currently looking for community service and there are several opportunities for service hours shortly, including the upcoming Friendship Place's Walk to End Homelessness on Saturday, May 3rd.  By joining our team and attending prep meetings in April (and the walk-in in May), students can earn up to 10 hours of community service and take part in a worthy cause.  When they register, they need to make sure they join "Team Jackson-Reed"  and use promo code JACKSON-REED for free admission.

Yearbook Update

We are finalizing the yearbook, so any students who still have not completed their senior portraits are unable to be included in the yearbook at this late date.  We apologize for any inconvenience but are held to a strict timetable with yearbook submissions to ensure that yearbooks arrive by the last day seniors are in the building.   Using our school code (5676), yearbooks can be pre-purchased clicking the link below. 

Upcoming Town Halls

We will hold our next town hall on Thursday, April 24.  Students will meet with the Class of 2025 Support Team and hear from counselors and admin with important reminders and prep for graduation.   That same evening (April 24th) at 7:00pm, we will hold our Term 4 Parent Town Hall on Microsoft Teams.  Please save the date as this is an important informational session.  Link is forthcoming.
