Each summer, Sitar employs a limited number of students ages 14-24 who are paid through one of two local government programs: DC’s Marion Barry Summer Youth Employment Program PG County’s Summer Youth Enrichment Program Applicants may select a specific internship based on their area of interest: Mural Arts Internship: Interns will work as part of a team in the creation of several collaborative mural projects as well as have an opportunity to work individually on an independent project. Interns will receive technical instruction to improve the quality of their work. To be considered, interns MUST provide a portfolio of recent drawings/paintings.

⭐️The SHE:DC art show is the largest women only art show in DMV and we have a goal of 500 pieces for the 2025 show launching March 7. We are reaching out to local schools seeking student submissions. This initiative is powered by Shop Made in DC. ⭐️Applications close February 9 and are open to all ages. ⭐️SHE:DC is a month (MARCH) to illuminate, celebrate, and gather women in business. Girls Who Start Impact InternshipGirls Who Start

The impact internship is an opportunity for middle school, high school, and college students to participate in an internship with Girls Who Start, a nonprofit organization founded to inspire middle school, high school, and college girls across the globe to become entrepreneurs and leaders, and University Startups, an organized committed to fostering an entrepreneurial mindset for for students beyond traditional curriculum.
